With over 15,000 domestic and foreign buyers in attendance, resulting in over 10 billion yuan worth of intended procurement orders for Central and Eastern European goods, and the signing of 62 foreign investment projects… The 3rd China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Expo was successfully held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, showcasing China’s willingness to share opportunities with Central and Eastern European countries and reaping pragmatic cooperation outcomes.
According to reports, this expo featured 5,000 types of Central and Eastern European products, representing a 25% increase compared to the previous edition. A batch of EU geographical indication products made their debut, with products from Central and Eastern European brands, such as Hungary’s Magic Wall display screens and Slovenia’s skiing equipment, participating in the expo for the first time. The expo attracted over 15,000 professional buyers and over 3,000 exhibitors, including 407 exhibitors from Central and Eastern European countries, resulting in intended procurement orders worth 10.531 billion yuan for Central and Eastern European goods.
In terms of international cooperation, the expo established regular cooperation mechanisms with 29 official institutions or business associations from Central and Eastern European countries. During the expo, a total of 62 foreign investment projects were signed, with a total investment of $17.78 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.7%. Among them, there were 17 projects involving Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, covering high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, digital economy, and other cutting-edge industries.
In the field of cultural exchanges, the total number of offline interactions during various cultural exchange activities exceeded 200,000. The China-Central and Eastern European Vocational Colleges Industry-Education Alliance was officially included in the China-Central and Eastern European cooperation framework, becoming the first multilateral cooperation platform in the field of vocational education to be included in the cooperation framework at the national level.
